For the past few years BIM Academy has been running Skills Bootcamps in partnership with New College Durham and we start 2024 with two new 10 week Bootcamp courses: Autodesk Revit Architecture Bootcamp and Building Information Modelling (BIM) Bootcamp.
Both offer bespoke training solutions to bridge existing skills gaps within high demand sectors by providing learners with the technical training needed to secure employment within high growth sectors.
BIM Academy is proud to be working once again with North East Local Enterprise Partnership, North of the Tyne Combined Authority and New College Durham to deliver these funded and flexible Bootcamps.
Skills Bootcamps offer free (for some), flexible courses of up to 10 weeks. They allow people to build up sector specific skills and fast track to an interview with a local employer.
Each Skills Bootcamp aims to help improve employability skills in a wide range of areas, including specialist digital construction skills.
Completing a Skills Bootcamp will provide learners with new skills to progress in their role or embark on a new career by enhancing their current skills level.
They are available for adults aged 19+ after 31st August 2023, who are either in work or recently unemployed and live in England.
These specific bootcamps are for the North of the Tyne – Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland areas and for those local to the region the training is free, subject to meeting the following criteria:
Employers can also access this training to upskill their staff at a discounted price. Large employers contribute 30% of the total cost, and SMEs contribute 10%. The costs of each bootcamp vary; therefore, we would encourage you to contact us to find out more with regards to pricing.
Why choose our Revit Architecture Bootcamp Course? Here’s what makes our Revit Architecture Bootcamp an exceptional choice for your learning journey.
Our course is enriched with live demonstrations that allow you to see Revit in action. These demos are designed to provide a real world perspective on how Revit is used in architectural design, giving you practical insights that go beyond theoretical knowledge.
The guided virtual workshops provide hands on learning, allowing you to apply your knowledge in a controlled environment with immediate feedback and support. This practical approach ensures that you gain knowledge, skills, and confidence to apply Revit in your projects.
The Bootcamp is delivered by a seasoned professor in architecture engineering, offering a wealth of academic and industry experience. This ensures that the course content is not only academically sound but also infused with real-world applications and insights from the field of architecture engineering.
Our Revit Architecture Bootcamp is more than just a course; it’s an immersive experience that combines expert knowledge, practical skills, and industry insights, all delivered in an engaging and supportive environment.
Upon completing this course, you will be awarded a BIM Academy Revit training certificate, accredited by Northumbria University.
The Autodesk Revit Architecture Bootcamp starts on Tuesday 16 January 2024 and runs for 10 weeks.
This Bootcamps is delivered virtually one day a week, 09:00 to 16:00 (with a one hour lunch break) for the duration of the 10 weeks.
Why choose our BIM Bootcamp? Firstly it is ISO compliant. Our Information Management (IM) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) modules are meticulously aligned with ISO 19650, ensuring you receive globally recognised and standardised training.
But it’s not just about the content, it’s how we deliver it. With interactive tools such as Slido and Miro, our sessions are as engaging as they are enlightening.
All of the modules in this Bootcamp style course resonate with the pulse of the industry – always updated to mirror current trends, legislation, standards, and regulations.
BIM is for the many, not just the few, BIM is the driving force on the digitalisation of the built environment and is at the forefront of modern methods of construction (MMC).
For those starting out on their BIM adoption journey and need guidance on UK and global BIM implementation this Bootcamp is where you need to start. At the very beginning.
Upon completing this course, you will be awarded a BIM Academy BIM training certificate, accredited by Northumbria University.
The BIM Bootcamp starts on Wednesday, 17 January 2024 and runs for 10 weeks.
