BIM Academy is delighted to have supported long-standing client, CÉH Planning Development and Consulting Inc, in becoming the first organisation in the CEE region to achieve ISO 19650 certification.

The international standard for Information Management using BIM was launched in 2019 and is seen as the global benchmark for the application of BIM for information modelling in the built environment.

CÉH has been providing design and expert BIM services for nearly a decade. In April 2020, the company was awarded certification to ISO 19650:1 and 2 by the British Standards Institution (BSI), and is the first such company to do so in the Central and Eastern European region.

This covers all the services in the business and CÉH is the sole organisation in the region to be able to provide BIM enabled design and project management, scan to BIM and other specialist services all under this international certification.

Attila Borbely, Head of Planning and Design at CÉH said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured this internationally recognised certification which will strengthen the CÉH profile in the market as well as enhancing the service and value we bring to our customers. Thanks also go to BIM Academy for bringing their experience to guide and support us on the journey to certification.”

Peter Barker, Managing Director, BIM Academy commented: “We are proud to have supported CÉH in achieving this recognition. This is not just from the point of view of market profile for CÉH, but also the efficiency and value it brings to operational performance and quality of service and ultimately, the value it brings to CÉH’s clients in the built environment. As a member of BSI Associate Consultant programme, we are thrilled to have worked closely with BSI and CEH in achieving this result.”
