Do you want to know the secret to project success? It’s simple: People and Process.

Get these two factors right and you’ve discovered the winning formula. These are the sentiments of our expert panel in our recent webinar: Intelligence for the future of learning.

At BIM Academy, we understand how important it is to have the right people with the right skills running your projects. Which is why during this virtual live discussion, we looked at the education needed within the construction industry to super fuel your people, and how the world of learning is changing and in the short term has changed.

Training is a fundamental necessity for organisational and professional growth, and if the past 20 months have taught us anything, it is that the way we learn has irreversibly changed. The global pandemic has forced us into new ways of communicating and now there is no looking back.

We have been delivering training at BIM Academy for over 10 years, which has given us the time to perfect the art of training delivery and writing the very best content so that your take-aways are operational ready – making you better prepared with the knowledge you need to make your projects a success.

We know that inspiring training programmes need to be underpinned by real world expertise. We have worked with some of the world’s top players in the AEC industry on some of the most prestigious projects, and we have turned this experience into something we can share. And we shared some of this experience during this event, when Director Dr Graham Kelly and Project Manager, Andrew Johnson talked about how they have supported BIM Academy clients with their training needs – both virtually and face to face in recent months.

As well as real-world examples, we discussed what we need to do now to drive the training of the future. The rise in the use of digital and virtual practices to deliver training has increased exponentially. But to envision the future of learning, we must firstly explore current trends and technologies on a global educational scale and then re-imagine what the future holds.

The key takeaways are, make learning memorable, forget about what’s possible and concentrate on what’s needed. So many of us push training to the side with the best of intentions to come back to it later – we need to place learning and development front and centre and create a culture of continuous learning.

Hear from our panel: Dr Graham Kelly, Director of BIM Academy, Andrew Johnson, Project Manager and Learning and Development lead at BIM Academy, Dr Chris Barclay, Founder of Evolve8 Coaching and Joss Underwood, Director at Field 19 as they discuss the current trend of virtual learning and the hybrid system we are currently operating. Plus, how nothing beats face-to-face human interaction, this wins hands down!
