Claudio Benghi
Senior Lecturer

Claudio Benghi’s PhD research investigated the issues of interoperability for construction and defined a strategy to promote the uptake of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) infrastructure for it.
Claudio studied as an architect at Politecnico di Milano in Italy because of his fascination with composition and complexity in the built environment. In time, expanding his interest in the area of information sciences, he has discovered the freedom and beauty of theoretical models, developing his career in the realm of information tools and technologies for the built environment, architecture, engineering and construction.
Claudio’s research interest lies in the area of information interoperability for construction; his work aims at developing service solutions for process innovation across the industry’s supply chain, currently focusing on standards for BIM validation.
