Barry is the programme leader for the Master of Science Project Management Framework and teaches across the range of construction engineering and project management undergraduate and masters programmes. Before commencing his academic career as senior lecturer, he spent a decade in the employment of major construction organisations. Barry is a member of the BIM Academy and sits on the BIM academic Forum (BAF). He is an active researcher with a growing record of research outputs centred around challenges of innovation diffusion, process improvement and sustainability within Construction Project Management. He referees for a range of quality peer-reviewed journals, regularly presents his research work at academic conferences and sits on a number of conference scientific committees. Barry’s interests are in the application of BIM to site-based problems, specialising in 4D simulation. His current research involves contractors’ use of BIM in the UK and internationally to improve process and deliver operational efficiency.
