This introductory course is aimed at professionals in the built environment seeking to establish their knowledge and understanding of Building Information Modelling and Management (BIM).
You will learn the fundamental concepts of BIM together with business benefits and the critical factors for successful implementation on projects. The course will then take you through the lifecycle of typical BIM applications on project, following international BIM standards including ISO 19650. Starting with the client’s exchange information requirements (EIR), you’ll progress to understanding BIM execution planning, working in a common data environment (CDE) and producing data in COBie format. By the end of the course you’ll have an understanding of critical documentation, workflows and deliverables necessary for the application of BIM as defined in ISO 19650 and associated standards. The course can also be adapted on request to suit the nature of your business and the number of delegates wishing to attend.
The course will be led by experienced BIM Academy consultants. You can expect a combination of presentations and interactive sessions, with demonstrations of software and case studies from completed projects.
